Caching in Suffolk

Last weekend I was in Suffolk with the family so we took the opportunity to do some geocaching.

DAY 1

Random Ramble 2 - GC1Y47V
Started off with a DNF (Did Not Find) on this one and with no clue to help find it, we struggled. It is a needle in a haystack search as this is a nano we were looking for. The past three cachers reported DNF's and there was one more DNF afterwards. The cache owner has visited the cache and its still there. If its this hard to find then a clue may have been in order or an increase on the D/T ratings.

Random Ramble RHQ - GC1Y47F
Stummped by the last cache we moved on to see if we could have better luck at the next one. After some searching we spotted what we thought was the hiding place in a post and found that it was a physical puzzle cache to solve to get the cache out. Im marking this cache as one of the best I have visited so far.

Random Ramble 3 - GC1Y485
Another well hidden cache. After solving the second cache we had an idea of what we where looking for so it was easier to locate.

Random Ramble 4 - GC1y48B
Found this one quite by accident when someone in our party leant on it. It did take a bit of looking for though until the accidental find. Another good hiding spot.

DAY 2

Rolling Stone - GCKJXM
Single cache today. This cache is by a set of stone that are supposed to be cursed. Anyone that moves the stones will befall a sudden end of life. Gave the stones a wide bearth and went to the cache. Nice big cache following a day of nano caches. Left some of the trackables we had collected and signed the log.

DAY 3

Billy's Bench - GC1KE38
Another single cache day, but a nice walk through a set of fields. Another big cache that allowed us to leave the rest of the trackables we were carrying.

View across field from cache.
